For over a decade, Machina has been more than a restaurant; it has been a cultural beacon in Keene, continually pushing the boundaries of what is possible. We have led the way in inclusivity and innovation, transforming our space into a sanctuary for artists and a stage for groundbreaking events. What started as a novel idea in 2013 has now woven itself into the vibrant fabric of our community.
We will be launching our soft re-opening serving our new dinner menu Tuesday-Saturday beginning Tuesday, April 30th leading up to our grand reopening dance party on Friday May 10, 2024. The event will revive our first-ever theme, "Titans of Industry," a steampunk gala featuring a DJ set by our co-founder, Rebecca Hamilton. This celebration is free and open to guests aged 21 and over from 10 PM to 1 AM. Looking ahead, we are excited to unveil enriching additions to our weekly events calendar and the innovative refresh of our menu, reflecting our reinvigorated commitment to quality, art, community, and creativity. Your unwavering support has been our beacon through the darkest times and we are eternally grateful for that. With a spirit of gratitude and renewed purpose, we invite you to join us in celebrating the rebirth of Machina Kitchen and ArtBar. Thank you for being a pivotal part of our journey; your presence has enriched our essence and sustained our spirit. We eagerly anticipate reopening our doors and welcoming you back to a revitalized and inspired Machina. With the deepest appreciation and warmest regards, Danya Pugliese, Jordan Scott, Rebecca Hamilton, Chris Hamilton, Walker Landis, & Thomas Pugliese |
Dear Keene Community,
As we mark the fifth anniversary of Machina Kitchen & ArtBar, we reflect deeply on the journey we've embarked upon together. It has been a path filled with significant growth and immense challenges. Today, we must share that the core values and standards that defined Machina's inception are currently not as high as we'd like. In response, we acknowledge this and want to tell you that we are committed to revitalizing our original vision and bringing back the Machina that you all believe in. Towards this end, we will temporarily close our doors from April 21 to April 29 for comprehensive staff training, menu revisions, future event planning and community engagement. The past five years have stretched us in ways we could never have anticipated. We were only open for eight months before the pandemic hit. It left us facing the endless ripple effects on our industry. This left us stuck in survival mode for five years. Facing one challenge after the next. These challenges tested us and left our devoted team fatigued and burned out. Like everyone else, inflation took an enormous hit on our cash flow. In recent weeks we were faced with the stark choice of closing our doors or doubling down on our commitment. Inspired by the essential role Machina plays in our community, We, as owners, chose to re-invest in our future and do the work needed to bring Machina back in full force. We want to be an integral part of this community and a home to all those who have come to value what we built together. |
